Bison, also called buffalo meat, meets many of the higher standards that consumers are looking for in nourishing food these days. One 3-ounce serving provides 25 grams of protein in just 150 calories.

Its superior protein levels, matched with a lower amount of fat, make bison an excellent source of nutrition for anyone, but especially those looking to lose weight, pregnant women and picky eaters, as smaller portions deliver higher amounts of essential ingredients.
