|All About Kangaroo
Kangaroo meat is very lean with less than 2% fat. It is considered an environmentally friendly source of protein as kangaroos emit only 5% of the amount of methane gasses that cattle would. Kangaroo provides a good source of high quality protein, important vitamins and minerals such as iron and zinc. Kangaroo meat has few connective tissues, which allows for fine textured soft meat.
Kangaroo meat has a very high concentration of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) when compared with other foods. CLA has been attributed with a wide range of health benefits including anti-carcinogenic and anti-diabetes properties, in addition to reducing obesity and atherosclerosis.
